Review About Target
|User Comment||Last evening my wife and I went to the Phoenixville Target to purchase about $70 worth of items. After using the self-scan checkout, we attempted to redeem our manufacturers coupons. The system kept rejecting the coupons displaying, "does not comply with Target coupon policy". When we asked an associate for help, she received the same message. My wife said, "maybe it is because the coupons expire today". Associate, "I have no idea". The system did take a couple of coupons that expire in 2 weeks, and this is not the first-time coupons have been rejected on date of expiration. So, we walked away from the order and went to guest relations, to ask that associate about the coupon policy, when the same one from the register came over and wanted to wait on us. I said, "I want to know the change in the coupon policy", check-out associate, "you will have to look it up". My wife has worked over 40 years in retail and makes it her job to know those policies so that she can deliver the best shopping experience. She will also try to accommodate the shopper if their coupon is expired.
When I called this morning looking for a manager, one came to phone after about 3 minutes and I began to explain my concern and could her him talking to someone else as I was talking and then he said, "can you explain that again, your phone was muffled". Corporate Guest Relations heard me with no problem.
We were always good for $100-$200 every 2 weeks at this particular Target and have decided even if it's a few cents more, we are avoiding target. These big companies need to train their people better in customer relations, as today the dollar has to be stretched as far as possible.
We are done with Target!
